As I taught in the “The Bible on Debt” e-book the key to accelerating the process of becoming debt free is to earn extra income to apply to your debt repayment schedule. The more you can add to your debt repayments the faster you can become debt free. There is one very important caveat…you also must continue to live within your income by sticking to your budget and management plan. 

BEFORE YOU READ THE LIST BELOW PLEASE UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM DOING AND WHAT I'M NOT DOING HERE:

1. What I am doing is trying to give you some sample ideas and options if you desire to earn more income

2. What I'm not doing is trying to persuade you to do anything listed here.

THESE IDEAS ARE FOR CONSIDERATION BY PEOPLE WHO DO HAVE THE DESIRE TO EARN MORE INCOME

In this short document I suggest a number of possible ways to earn extra income.  

As you read the list of possibilities below see if one of them fits you.  Or they might give you some ideas of your own.

So here they are, segmented into four categories:  1. Get a 2nd Job 2. Provide Services to Others 3.Find a Reputable Network Marketing Company 4. Make Money Online Each type has its own pluses and minuses.

Option # 1 - Get a Second Job

Many people think first about getting a 2nd or sometimes even a 3rd job because that’s how they have always thought about earning money.This method is valid and it can create some additional income for sure.The plus is that you show up and do your job and get paid at whatever rate the job offers. The minuses are that it often means a person is working many hours away from home and has little time left for personal and family life. Also, normally the pay won’t be very much in most cases. Still, this is a valid means of earning a little more income... and even an extra $100 or $200 a week is helpful. 

Option #2 - Work on Your Own by Providing Services to Help Others

This method of earning extra money is valid and often rewarding for people who have a trade, skill or talent that people frequently want or need.  The possibilities are virtually limitless but I will mention a few to get your mind going. I've divided them into 2 categories...in-home and outside-of-home options.

In-home Services (obviously this list is just a thought provoker)

1. Make and sell baked goods or special recipe items

2. Do sewing or embroidery - make and sell quilts or other similar products

3. Offer child-care (this will likely require licensing)

4. Hire yourself out as a computer “geek” and work on projects right at home

5. etc. etc.

Outside the Home Services (again, this is just to get you thinking)

1. Babysitting - typically not as steady unless you connect with one family

2. Catering - if cooking and hospitality are a strength of yours

3. Handyman Projects - excellent part-time work for the right person

4. Build Decks or Other Construction Projects (sheds, garages, etc.)

5. Do Concrete Work or Block and Brick Work

6. Do Lawn Work or Landscaping

7. etc., etc. (almost anything a person is skilled at doing)  

Option #3 - Find a Reputable Network Marketing Company

If you are someone who understands the power of network marketing and like that business model, I can recommend a lady who teaches a new way of doing the business. She really is brilliant in how she teaches people who are involved in network marketing to approach and interact with potential customers and builders. You will see some reviews and also see some links to her teaching products, both written things and video classes. Network marketing is not something I am currently doing although I have been involved in a couple of them in the past so I know its pluses and minuses. The minuses in my opinion are mostly related to the marketing process and the cost of the products. The pluses are that this model does have some potential for making a good income, and there are legitimate network marketing companies that provide quality products and good earning potential.

Option #4 - Make Money Online

Millions of people world-wide are seeking for ways to make money online; in fact, that is probably the largest category for online business searches.  That fact is both a plus and a minus.  

First you must understand that there are  many scams and schemes on the internet. Second, you should realize that it is difficult for beginners to succeed in this arena because there is a lot of competition out there.  Still there are real opportunities and legitimate options if a person is committed to the model and willing to work hard at learning and implementing the business plan.

If a person has the drive and determination to succeed, it can be done. I believe the essential key is to find an honest person who really does WANT YOU TO SUCCEED. Many people out there are really just interested in lining their own pockets. An honest on-line marketer will understand the principle that...if you wish to benefit yourself you must first deliver something of benefit to those you seek to attract or serve.

Such people do exist and I know a man I am willing to recommend if you have an interest in this manner of trying to earn extra income. Again, I am not seeking to persuade you, but simply letting you know that I have come to know from personal experience that this person is both an expert in his genre and reputable.

Obviously, you can do your own searching and vetting and you should. Be aware that virtually everyone, regardless of their success and integrity, will be criticized and bashed by some percentage of people.

If you have an interest in having an online business you might want to check this person out. I am personally building an online business using his program and after 2 years of seeing and hearing what he does, I have come to know him to be a person of integrity. I will tell you that although he can be pretty "hypey" in his presentations I'm confident that he is honest and sound.
